Dr Linda Steinberg
Owner and Principal Dentist
Linda has been a general dentist for over 30 years, having graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1990. Within a few days she began her career in private practice. Soon after she accepted a position as the acting head of the dental clinic at the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress in Alice Springs. Here Linda gained vital experience in communication and emergency dentistry. Upon her return to Melbourne Linda worked for group practices in Mt Waverley, Caulfield, Box Hill and Moorabbin. In 1994 Linda returned to studying at the University of Melbourne completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Forensic Odontology. This enabled her to assist in victim identification both in Victoria and overseas. She was deployed as a special member of the Australian Federal Police to Bali in 2002 in order to assist in identifying the Australian Victims of the Bali Bombings in October that year. Two years later she was also deployed to Phuket, Thailand, for victim identification of the Thai Tsunami, and then similarly assisted in the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009.
Through all this Dr Steinberg has maintained her focus on her clinical general dental work, always staying up to date with modern evidence-based dentistry and embracing new technological advances. She has a love for learning and passing on her knowledge and skills to her patients, providing them with the most up-to-date options.
Linda has returned once again to studying, and recently completed a 3-year Graduate Diploma in Orthodontics. She feels passionate about educating her patients, especially young children and their parents, about the impact of habits such as dummy/thumb sucking, mouth breathing, and incorrect muscle habits have on the development of the jaws and eruption of the teeth.
Linda has 3 beautiful daughters and a devoted labradoodle. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, pilates, walking, travelling and listening to audiobooks!
